What this changes for you

A landscape that looks alive. Not just watered.

Most Phoenix landscapes get watered. Very few get fed. And there's a visible difference — plants that are just surviving look it. They're thin, slow to grow, and the first ones to drop leaves or fail when temperatures push past 110.

When you feed the soil consistently, the biology wakes up, roots go deeper, and plants stop just surviving the desert and start thriving in it. The difference builds month after month.

"Most landscaping problems in Phoenix aren't a water problem. They're a soil problem."

That's what an organic landscape feeding program solves. It builds the soil biology that keeps your plants healthy through the hardest months — and the results compound over time.

What you'll notice

Plants that look the way they're supposed to look

01

Fuller, healthier growth across the board

Sparse, leggy plants are almost always a soil issue. When the biology underneath is active and feeding consistently, plants fill out, put on new growth, and start looking the way they should.

02

Color and vitality through summer and beyond

Phoenix summers stress even desert-adapted plants. Consistently fed landscapes handle heat better, recover faster from extreme temperatures, and hold their color when unfed plants start to fade.

03

A landscape that gets easier to maintain over time

Healthy soil biology builds on itself. The longer your plants are fed consistently, the stronger the root systems get — and the more resilient the whole landscape becomes to drought, heat, and pests.

The program

What The Garden Nerd does at every visit

At every visit, your landscape gets a calibrated application of our organic soil blend — applied across your full landscape area. On top of that, you get a compost top-dress on a schedule that matches your plan, to feed the biology at the surface.

🌿

Organic liquid soil blend — every visit

Our custom organic blend is applied across your full landscape at a calibrated rate — feeding the soil biology where root health actually starts.

🪱

Compost top-dress — on your plan's schedule

Compost is applied across your landscape beds to feed the microbial life in your soil and improve structure over time — it's what makes the liquid program work better and better.

📸

After-visit video — every visit

After every visit, you get a short video covering what was applied and anything we noticed about your landscape. You always know what happened, even when you weren't home.

💬

Garden Nerd Club — lifetime access

Every client gets lifetime access to our private community where you can ask The Garden Nerd anything about your plants and get a real, specific answer.

🔔

Advance notice before every visit

You'll get a text a few days before and the day before your visit. Leave the gate unlocked and keep dogs inside — you don't need to be home.

Your proposal

Two ways to run this. Same price either way.

This quote is based on your landscaped area. Both plans run at the same rate — the difference is visit frequency, product volume per visit, and how often you get a compost top-dress.

A note on your corner spot

Three trees that would work well in that corner

That corner gets full exposure and has room to grow into. Here are three options that handle Laveen's heat well and would each bring something different to the spot.

Corner planting spot at the Daniels property
The corner spot we're recommending trees for
01

Fern of the Desert

Also called Feather Bush

Fine, fern-like foliage that gives this corner a softer, lighter look than most desert trees. It's fast-growing, provides good filtered shade, and the texture stands out against harder-edged desert plants nearby.

02

Chinese Elm

Evergreen / lacebark elm

A reliable, fast-growing shade tree with attractive mottled bark. It holds its leaves through most of the year in the Valley and handles heat and poor soil well, making it a strong pick if real shade in that corner is the priority.

03

Sweet Acacia

Vachellia farnesiana

A tougher, more traditional desert tree with fragrant yellow puffball blooms in late winter and spring. Lower water needs than the other two options, and a good fit if you want something that leans more native and low-maintenance.
