Your two ficus trees are mature and give the yard a lot of shade. With the storms we've had this summer, they've been dropping broken branches, and it's been a few years since a certified arborist has worked on them.
Trees this size need to be pruned correctly. A bad cut on a large limb can turn into a bigger problem the next time a storm comes through, so it's worth having a certified arborist handle it.

For trees this mature, we always recommend bringing in a certified arborist rather than a general trim crew. Proper structural pruning on large ficus trees takes real training, both to reduce storm risk and to avoid over-cutting a tree that's this healthy.

Covering the Bare Block Wall
The long block wall on the side of your yard is bare right now. It sits in full sun, runs hot, and stands out against the rest of your yard, which is lush and full. A hedge along that wall would cover it up and bring that side in line with the rest of the property.
We'd recommend either Hopseed or Arizona Rosewood for this. Both are solid choices for a wall like this. Here's a look at each.
Hopseed
Fast growing and dense, so it fills in and covers the wall quickly. Evergreen, holds up well in full sun, and takes shearing well if you want a clean, tidy hedge line.
Arizona Rosewood
A tougher, slower growing native shrub. Takes longer to fill in than Hopseed, but it's a durable, low maintenance option once it's established.
