Your Hopseed Hedge

1427 N 61st St, Mesa, AZ

This is the mockup we looked at together, hopseed planted along the full length of your block wall.

The Wall

80 Feet, One Hedge

You've decided on hopseed for the block wall, so here's what that looks like planted. Hopseed is fast growing and dense, so it fills in and covers the wall quickly, it's evergreen, holds up well in the full sun this wall gets, and takes shearing well if you ever want a clean, tidy line instead of letting it grow looser.

Hopseed

Hopseed

Dodonaea viscosa

5 gallon size, planted every 3 to 4 feet along the wall for a full hedge line.

At 80 feet, spacing on the tighter end gives you a fuller hedge sooner, spacing on the wider end costs less up front and just takes a little longer to close in. Both are reasonable, here's how the count and price shift between the two.

3 ft spacing
27 plants
Fills in fastest
4 ft spacing
20 plants
Lower cost, slower fill
