Client Experience Associate
Part-Time, Remote—Arizona · $18–$20/hour
In this role, you are the face of The Garden Nerd. You're the first voice a new client hears and the person they count on at every step after—the one who makes working with us feel easy, personal, and handled. If you love taking care of people and take pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, this is a role you'll be proud to own.
The Garden Nerd provides soil-feeding and planting services that help people grow healthy, productive landscapes. We're a small team that values clear communication and reliable follow-through, and we're looking for someone who works the same way.
This is a relational role, not a transactional one—you're building real relationships with clients, not just checking boxes. We'll give you the tools, systems, and training to do it well.

Be the first point of contactAnswer and make client calls with a friendly, confident, can-do attitude. This is a phone-forward role, so a great phone presence matters.

Manage client text messages and Michael's email inboxRespond to client texts throughout the day, stay on top of email, and make sure nothing slips.

Welcome and qualify new leadsWalk them through our services and get their consultations booked.

Onboard new clientsSet them up for a smooth start, including their billing setup.

Handle billing and related accounting tasksInvoice clients, set up payments, and keep billing records accurate. (You won't be keeping the books; we have a bookkeeper for that.)

Coordinate scheduling and remindersKeep clients and our crew on the same page.

Send clear post-visit updatesClients should always know what was done and what comes next.

Keep our client records organizedMaintain our folders, trackers, and systems.

Help run our referral programTrack and reward clients who send people our way.

Learn the basics of what we doPart of this role is getting familiar with our services and general landscaping and soil knowledge, so you can answer common client questions confidently and know when to pass the rest to our team.

Experience1–3 years experiencein administrative, customer service, or client-coordination work.

A friendly, outgoing personality.You genuinely like people, and it shows on the phone and in your writing.

Strong organization and follow through.Details don't slip past you.

Based in Arizona.You'll work Arizona hours, and we may meet in person from time to time, so you'll need to live in the area.

Willingness to learn our trade.You don't need a gardening background, but you do need to be genuinely willing to learn it.

Dependable and self-directed.This is a remote role, so we're trusting you to manage your hours and stay on top of your work.

Comfort with billing and everyday software—Google Workspace(Gmail, Drive, Forms, Calendar), phone and texting tools, and simple billing systems. Quick to learn new apps.
